CoD - Black Ops (Completed)
Just finished this game, I know that CoD : Ghosts is out already, but I bought this a looong time ago and did not manage to finish it. Well now I did!
Anyway, game was ok, too much going on really, screen keep shaking too much, giddy. The story was ok, more for people that appreciate war and politics though. It was during the WW2 Era I suppose?

Movie - Frozen
So today, I caught this movie called Frozen which is a Disney animated movie in a winter environment setting.
Synopsis (Quote from imdb) :
Fearless optimist Anna teams up with Kristoff in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna's sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter.
My Summary: (Don't hate)
Movie started and the animation was really cute. Really soon after, the movie broke out into music which had some really nice vocals. The story was alright, it wasn't too much of a typical fairy tail story shit, which is a really good thing. Basically the story's protagonists revolves around 2 sisters 1 which has the power of Ice, lost control of it and went rogue. The other, is just your cheerful-like happy go lucky next door girl which got conned to love some random handsome prince, but instead found her true one whom she met during her attempts to 'save' her sister. Some climatic scenes which got rid of the bad and had the good guys go through trails and eventually win, movie end.
Thoughts
Well for starters, the theater screening this show at Lot 1 was packed like fuck, which was really rare. As rare as epic loots dropping off thrash mobs in games. Anyway, I guess that's a good sign because it means that it's got some publicity. (Oh ya, it's school holidays -_-)
There were a vast number of songs that were being played in the movie and the vocals were really good. In particular, there was a song that gave me goosebumps, the part where Elsa(Sister with the power to conjure ice), ran away and became 'free' initially. Here it is:
Ah, the synchronisation of the lyrics, melody and animation in that context was really epic! *Thumbs Up*
Story wise, it's always a happy ending. It's Disney ffs, so no surprises there. If I were to really over think it, I guess the movie showed how a sister's love, may sometimes be misinterpreted; from protecting to secluding, which is sad, but at least it all ended well. Also, it shows hints towards the type of people that would lie,cheat and steal for status, power and wealth. Something like the real world maybe? ';..;'
Animation was good, it's Disney, they started the whole animation shit in the first place, so I've got no complains. Characters had their unique personalities too.
Music was pretty nice, however I feel that they kept wanting to put loads of music in that even conversations became 'sing-y', which felt kinda weird to me. Imo, if they're talking, just let them talk normally with their emotions and all that the most. When its the right time, let the music roll! The effect during that particular scene will be more prominent and people will definitely remember it. Cause currently, there's so much music that the better scenes kinda gets 'drowned out'.
I highly recommend this movie, although it may seem gay, but if you brought people, esp of the opp gender(hee hee), I'm sure that there would be sparks flying! Haha! Too bad I watched it with a guy though. :( For families, you'd like this show as much as your kids would. I'm sure of it.

Custom-made Calendars for 2014
As per title, I would like to direct you guys to making your very own personalised calendar for the upcoming year, 2014! I've already ordered mine for a total of $22.05 for a wall calendar, and I guess it's worth it cause it'll last the whole year (I hope).
Anyway, the website is www.vistaprint.sg. They provide a wide range of services; aside from calendars, you can make your own custom-made postcards,mugs, business cards, etc. All at a rather reasonable price.
Oh yes, this would make a perfect Christmas present as well!(There's still time) It's not too expensive, and it's unique. If your giving it to a loved one/friend, you can customise photos of you, him/her and whatever expeditions/activities you guys have been involved in and make it into a huge montage over the months which he/she can view everyday, because he/she needs to use it!

The Cost of 'Having a Life'
So apparently, connotations of having a life has a lot to do with going out. As long as you've been out of your house, you have a life. Of course I believe though that if you go out to do the same thing excessively, then you have no life.
Basically, having a life is really having a balance of doing a wide array of 'entertainment' that requires you to physically be at a location to enjoy it. This can come in the form of food, movies, shopping and even any other activities that one enjoys.
However though, there are also many negative relations as to how someone has no life if what he does (which is what he loves) is related to stuff that are 'geeky' or 'nerdy' in nature. These includes activities such as obsessive indulgence in books, trading card games, etc which is sad and makes me hate those fuckers that made society like that just cause they think that they're cool starting a trend and all that.
Anyway, back on the topic. Firstly when you go out, you gotta pay for transport. Regardless of whether you drive or take public transport, you gotta pay. Next, you gotta pay to get the required materials to enjoy your hobby. In most cases, its just a once in a long while thing where the equipments or tools can be used for an extended period of time and only need to be washed/maintained. Hobbies aside, eating and watching movies are activities that are short lived and will always need you to pay. If you want to enjoy your experience, which is the reason why your going out anyway, you'll pay more for better food. Movies are really short lived experiences also that also need you to pay just to sit there for 2 hours and 'enjoy'.
If your crazier, visiting clubs or going to the nightlife scene would definitely blow your pocket as well. Entry fees for clubs are already about ~$30-$50, extra drinks excluded. Such amounts can allow you to go out a few times for food and movies. Assuming on top of this that you only go out once or twice a week. How many weeks of activities can you do if you forgo your nightlife activities?
Apparently, people that frequent nightlife are seen to have more 'life' as they seem more socially active than regular people who go out once a week. Regular people that go out once a week are seen to have more life than people who only go out once a month just to get their necessities.
Basically, when you go out, you will always spend $, just how much or how little. I'm starting to think that the people who have more 'life' may be simply using it as an excuse for their complete wastage of their $, maybe? Maybe not? On the other hand, those who have 'no life' are happy as they think that they are saving money, but maybe that's also an excuse for them to not go out and see the 'real world'.
Fuck nvm, type so much bs. Just do w/e the fuck you want. Got $$ to blow, just do it, happy can already. YOLO.
P.S. I'm finally recovered from my gay ass throat infection. Time to go get me some GAINSSSSSsss which I have been holding off for my recovery. :DD

My 1st Clubbing Experience
So all through my life so far, I've almost always straight out rejected offers like that. Well its good to be out of your comfort zone for a change eh? I've been kinda curious as well and so I went.
It was about 11.30pm and I went to Zouk, lol. That day, it was JAM PACKED. It was so fucking crowded that if it wasn't for my friends that were coming to meet me, I would have just left.
Anyway, that's not really the main gist of it yet. I was so suaku that I queued at the wrong queue and only found out later when my friends arrived haha. The queue was quite long, and the line was almost non-existent. It was so fucking messy and so many retards were pushing around trying to squeeze in. Worse off, some fucking ang mohs/muds just blatantly cut the queue. Wtf? Srs? Lol. Ended up waiting in the line for about an hour or so before we got in. Btw, we had to desperately keep trying to squeeze ourselves forward to stop assholes from cutting. Zzz.
As for the people who were there, wow. It was really an eye opener for me. So many fucking Sg girls go dress up, and when I say dress up, I mean ALOT. Make up, night wear sexy sexy nice young things lol hahahahaha. As for the guys, all trying to wear cool looking clothing w/ styled hair all that. Wah, at that point of time I was like fk, this place is really the wrong place for me to be in. (Just jeans, polo, and natural unstyled hair bro, lol) But oh well, you gotta always try new things, or else you'd never know...
Finally we got in. Inside, it was really a fucking HORDE of people swarming around. it's so fucking crazy. It was so squeezy sia, if you weren't close to your friend and lost sight of him, you confirm cannot find him one. Anyway a lot of people were jumping around, dancing all that.
My stereotypical mindsets about clubs were all true. Crazy ppl dancing, making out, drinking like hell, wah and I swear, even though people seemed to be enjoying themselves, I felt that the situation could just fucking turn bad at any second cause all of them seemed kinda rowdy to me. Oh yea, the girls were fucking, fucking crazy. I've never seen chicks so crazy before in my life lol. Holy shit, them in their fuckin skimpy clothing and freaking waving their whole body like how you'd see sluts do on TV, they were doing it. Holy shit wow, was kinda stunned for the moment.
Anyway, apparently DJ Nicky Romero (no idea who he is) was around that night and so everyone kept jumping and swinging their hands around. In that situation, I really didn't want to be a sore thumb and just stand there, emo like a retard. It would've made me feel stupid. So if you cant beat em, join em!
At the central area of the club, it got really freaking pushy. People kepy squeezing here, squeezing there, pushing here pushing there but w/e man. Fuck there was this stupid bitch that puked right behind me, lucky missed my shoe by a bit but man she fucking wasted. Her head kept swinging about and keep knocking on my back/shoulder. Shit. There was also this crazy ang moh that got blood all over the back of his head, but he was still smiling and dancing as he got pulled out by the bouncer (security officer). Seriously wtf? All these crazy people. Holy shit.
Oh ya, I dunno if it's bad for me to say this, but the amount of female my elbow felt was really ∞. If your real despo, want some sexy nice young things, but too scared to go and talk to people, this is really the place for you lol.
Anyway, I left at about 4+. Cabbed home after. Doubt I'd ever voluntarily go to a place like that again, but to be fair, it was really ok if you try to enjoy yourself, moving however the fuck you want lol. No one's really gonna give a shit.

So my demon hunter just died today, after I painstakingly went through the arduous task of power leveling her. It was right after I spent so much $$ to gear her too. :(

Bb League of Legends
Just wanted to make it official that I'm quitting league of legends. I guess I've had enough of the whole toxic nature of the game and it's finally time to call it quits.
My history in LoL
Initially, I started playing LoL off the NA server as it was the only one that was made available to the public then. Much less, the game was only in beta. At that point of time, it was really just an alternative to DotA every now and then when I got bored of it. However, I realised that I started owning at it! Owning really hard! Yea yea, people keep giving me the bull shit that LoL is easier than DotA (Can't deny, blah blah blah, all that bullshit). What I believe is that the dynamics of the 2 games are very different despite having similar macro game objectives.
Then one fine day, LoL(SEA) was released and I immediately jumped on! Before I knew it, I was doing pretty well amongst the (small)community then. This was way back before ranked games were even released. This came from the fact that every-time I queued, I almost always end up playing against the same goddamn group of tryhards (Sg-LoL WCG representatives back then, which were mostly made out of pro DotA players).
It was then I got kinda hooked to the game. Winning felt so fucking good and I could never lose. No matter the type of shit team I got, I'd win the vast majority of my games. I can still remember the days where I micro-ed the fuck out of pubs with Kassadin haha.
A period of time passed and I was eventually asked to play in a Rookie Tournament where my team won first place.

After, I left the team and joined a 'school team'. We played together for a while in our free time before deciding to take part in the Singapore Championship eSports League(LCES) Season 1 Tournament. Ended up with 3rd place on that one.

The prize was just a Razer Deathadder, no trophy. Traded it with for a razer bag with a guy from the 4th placing team. This tournament was the precursor to my journey into Singapore WCG.
Basically the top 3 teams from this SCEL tournament would be given an opportunity to participate in the Singapore WCG. The winner of this event would be Singapore representatives to play League on an international level.
Anyway, all of us went ahead to 'try out' in the WCG. To be frank, our hopes weren't set too high, but we managed to take our first game before 'leaving'. Haha. Oh well.
After all these live events, I became pretty inactive in the competitive scene and simply played ranked games most of the time in an attempt to up my 'elo' rating. But thinking back, there was really no point in doing so; it is really just to enlarge one's e-peen.
Playing too much computer games then also kinda screwed my exams then, oh well you gotta learn things the hard way. Not just that, relationships with friends in game turned sour as well. So it's really time to stop this bad addiction lol.

Heroes of the Storm
HOLY SHIT I SOOOOO WANT TO PLAY THIS OMGOGMOGMG
Blizzard's new release during Blizzcon 2013 to tap into the MOBA genre, which is arguable the most lucrative industry in e-sports. Hence, the bandwagon.
It's a dream come true for every Blizzard fan boy though. Basically, it has the same concept of DotA; you defend your nexus, turrets and kill opposing heroes and minions to get stronger. The juicy part is where all the iconic characters across all of Blizzard's games are now 'Champions' for us to micro. How awesome is that?

GTA V
Hi all, as you can guess from the title, I would like to talk about GTA V.
Firstly, I would like to mention that I do not own a PS3 or XBOX360. However, this game has seriously caught my attention and from the trailers, reviews and abundance of videos surfacing around YouTube, my interest has been sparked!
Firstly, the game involves the usual Grand Theft Auto stuff such as living a life of crime involving drugs, weapons, violence and sex (lolol), which is signature to the GTA series. However, there is a twist whereby you no longer control a single protagonist, unlike all the other GTA games. You are able to switch player perspectives between 3 different people to perform cooperative tasks or just for the fuck of it when you are not doing a mission.
Before that, Rockstar has nailed the personal backgrounds of the main characters in the game, a crazy mutha fuka, a hoodie homie and a 'businessman'. All of which are at the opposite ends of each other in the spectrum. This certainly does add flavor!
Next, I would like to talk about the context of GTA V, or probably even GTA as a whole. The whole concept of encouraging kids/people to engage in various 'problem solving' situations generally turns most of them off. However, if you add the twist of them being able to do that to commit actions that no one would ever dream of doing in real life, but want to :P (come on, don't lie. You don't wanna get rich easy by robbing a bank? Or ***k cheap mother fucking slut ass p**sti**es like nothing? -Wow that was harsh) catches most of their attention (and mine ~_~) is one of the major appeals of this game. Admittedly, the critical thinking and reflex response are incognitive to the consumers/players. However, they are present in GTA V. Unlike the previous GTA games which mostly involve killing your foes faster and you win. The player perspective switching of GTA V is the charm of the game in the aspect that I have touched on before.
You gotta watch the video below to kind of understand what I am talking about. It shows someone playing the mission titled 'The Big One' in the game.
'The Big One' Heist! :
From a simple heist(its just a game) as shown, it seriously shows the importance of every single player in the game and the way the game makes you utilise every single one of them is really so god damn methodical and beautiful.
Not to mention, the nitty witty details of decision making at certain points which is displayed by this dude playing the game (hes kinda pro to me). Such instances include knowing of priority targets to take out, or holding the car in covered spots, waiting for cops to gather before choosing to bail. Admit it, you guys would just keep driving non-stop in futile attempts to escape, or going full RAMBO and dying/running out of explosives. There was also an instance where he was driving towards 2 cops and I thought he handled it perfectly by placing sticky bombs on them and driving away instead of just doing the latter which is what most of us would do. This ensures that those cops would not be on his tail. See, good problem solving skills in situations which arise suddenly and need to be solved under time constraints! Haha.
All that I have just covered is just one of the main aspects of the game which has appealed to me, however there are tons of other things to do/explore in GTA V which can be discovered from the trailer they released a few months back here :

So Enlightening! :D
In accordance with the title, you can tell that I'm in the mood to blog instead of posting videos as a cheap excuse to take up blog/post space.
Anyway, the thing that I would like to mention today is that it is simply so refreshing to better oneself everyday!
Now why am I mentioning this? Because looking back, there have really been loads of lifestyle changes that I have made to myself to make me rock more haha.
Instead of really grinding in an MMO or trying really hard to farm elo, at the end of the day I realised that these things really don't matter. I was kinda struggling to acknowledge this back in those days, trying means and ways to convince myself that what I doing mattered and made me happy. Then again, I'm just running away from reality which is kinda gay if I were to think about it now. :/ Don't get me wrong, I'm still gaming though, but I guess I'm just 'casual' now lol.
Right now, I have this huge obsession to better myself. Be it working out, playing the guitar or learning music. I feel that I seriously love myself so much hahaha. It sounds so god damn narcissistic but I just can't help it! xD
Perhaps its the sequence of events that have happened since my A' levels that made me this way. Honestly, looking back at the hurdles that I've had to cross and the mental barriers that I had to break, it was kinda worth it. Really does beat having a smooth flowing trip which would probably retain my bad habits, mentalities and thinking. Pretty sure that I still have loads of imperfections, but meh I am only human. Progress, be it fast or slow is still progress.
P.S. Now this is such an emo(HTHT crap) post and I'm kinda hesitating whether I should publish it or not, but for the sake of 'recounting' purposes for me in the future to look back on(just like a diary), I shall!

As per title, its really a good avenue to blow your top and let loose without getting nasty to the people who have kinda pissed you off. Happy Birthday!
To my most loving and beloved person, me! Thinking back, time really flies and I'm already 20 this year.
Frankly, I didn't think I would feel anything special today, but for some reason, there just a tingling sensation deep down that puts a smile on my face. (Don't think sick plz)
Grandma wrapped a nice red packet for me which kinda touched my heart <3 .

Pacific Rim

My Opinion :
Initially, I was pretty sure that it was just gonna be another one of those transformer movies, just with maybe sub-par animation technologies which are less fluid and realistic. Oh boy, was I surprised, this movie was actually really good.
The action was superb. The amalgamation of excellent and loud sound effects with the intensity of the fights really kept my eyes glued to the screen and hands tucked tightly under my thighs. In addition, its not that regular good guys are always stronger and own 90% of the time crap. The battles were really back and forth and they even killed certain key characters in the other Jaegers (machines), showing the dominance the fuckin kaiju (monsters) had in their attacks. Action was definitely deserving a 4-4.5/5. The reason im not giving it 5/5 is cause nothing in this world is perfect D: . lol.
Storyline wise, I won't deny that its not some kind of artsy mcbeth war kind of shit, however, for a action movie of this calibre, the story line and characters definitely did engaged me. Definitely not a film which is only driven by action packed scenes, but has that subtle humane touch as well.
Don't really wanna spoil too much by going into too much detail (I'm lazy too). Basically, the whole point of me allocating a post to a movie means that I highly recommend it and you must catch it!! Trust me m8s.

Prawning at Hai Bin
Went for 'prawning' or prawn-fishing yesterday over at Hai Bin (Punggol). Did the initial pleasantries and had some food and slight refreshments with the group before beginning to embark on the prawning itself.
Initially, the process seemed foreign to me as I have not done anything remotely close to fishing before. Hence, when I was handed the rod, bait and net (which I shared with a feel people), I was feeling pretty bucked out and yet excited at the same time.
So there I was, sitting with my friends, placing the bait (fuckin chicken liver lol) on the hook before tossing it out into the 'prawn-fishing' area. There, I saw several people having their bites and railing em in! But I had nothing at all yet lol. The guy beside me kept fishing them non-stop, which made me feel sad, but meh.
Advised given to me was to put the bait on the rod in such a way that the hook was covered. Apparently this would trick the prawn into thinking that its not gonna get hooked out and barbequed afterwards. I was really skeptical about this, but then again I really don't know the intelligence of prawns lol so I just tried it and pray-ed for some kind of beginners luck.
Then finally, I had a fuckin bite! Yay! I could see the float thing or whatever its called sinking into the water. There I knew, I absolutely didn't want to lose it, so I gently tug the rod, trying to not scare it off. But at that moment, he attacked the food more and the rod started to tug like crazy! I was like fuck yea! It's hooked! So I wrenched it out of the water and caught it! :D That's just the first part though. When it was out, it was desperately struggling its fuckin ass off, it had these clippers that kept snapping the fuck out of the air and now the problem was that I needed to remove the hook from its mouth without killing it, partly cause its mean (lol) and that the food would still be fresh for the barbeque afterwards. However, there was the big problem of it raping my fingers... (which it did a lot later when I started to fish more) What the people around me would do is that they would place the poor prawn on the ground and use their legs to wrench its claws off before removing the hook, but it was so dam fuckin cruel and no matter how badass I was, I didn't want to do it lol. (Dam pussy =/) So I tried to use 1 hand to immobilize its claws by pressing on the joints(I guess) and carefully remove the hook even when its desperately curling at struggling at lightning fast speeds which shocked me a few times. Eventually, I managed to get it out and went ahead to fish some more! :D Oh yea, I'd also want to mention that at some parts of this prawn-fishing thing, where most of the dumb prawns were caught, there was a freaking commando bad-ass prawns that kept eating everyone's bait without getting pulled out. Fuckin' sick for a prawn lloololol.

When it was out, it was desperately struggling its fuckin ass off, it had these clippers that kept snapping the fuck out of the air and now the problem was that I needed to remove the hook from its mouth without killing it, partly cause its mean (lol) and that the food would still be fresh for the barbeque afterwards. However, there was the big problem of it raping my fingers... (which it did a lot later when I started to fish more) What the people around me would do is that they would place the poor prawn on the ground and use their legs to wrench its claws off before removing the hook, but it was so dam fuckin cruel and no matter how badass I was, I didn't want to do it lol. (Dam pussy =/) So I tried to use 1 hand to immobilize its claws by pressing on the joints(I guess) and carefully remove the hook even when its desperately curling at struggling at lightning fast speeds which shocked me a few times. Eventually, I managed to get it out and went ahead to fish some more! :D Oh yea, I'd also want to mention that at some parts of this prawn-fishing thing, where most of the dumb prawns were caught, there was a freaking commando bad-ass prawns that kept eating everyone's bait without getting pulled out. Fuckin' sick for a prawn lloololol.
Anyway, after fishing, the group of us went to barbeque all our catches (which was a hell lot), and ate them and damn do they taste good! Haha! Left after feeling satisfied, almost actually because the trip home was fucking painful (damn far).

All Diamond!
So I've been playing LoL for awhile now and I've finally gotten all my normal games to diamond. This is not really showing any kind of skill, but rather the amount of time I have spent on the game. (is that a bad thing? =.-)
Totally inspired to make a summary of my whole LoL 'career' someday, but I'm really too lazy these days to make lengthy blog posts just for the fuck of it.

Sg Haze
Well as you all know, there is a really bad haze in Sg currently. A step out of the house/office and you can immediately smell fumes. That is not all, any kind of nice scenic view of our everyday lives is blurred as well. In fact, I remember taking a quick glance at Strait's Times and it mentioned that our PSI has reached a max of 160, which was the highest reached ever in the past 16 years.
Jogging or any form of outdoor activity will be a hassle now as there will always be hesitation whether it is retarded or not to do so. This is because of how of our intention of working out and exercising outside to make us healthier is totally pwned by this haze which causes the air around us to hold many foreign particles. If I were to still engage in intense cardio activity outside, I will essentially be trying to breathe in a hell lot more of these shit which will kill me.
Anyway, just bought a weighted rope, so that cardio can still be done indoors. As for lifting, I could do body weight exercises still at home and I doubt that the gym would really be a problem, since its indoors (the main one being trying to actually get my lazy ass there).
Edit : Max PSI reached, 400+!

Panasonic Lumix X51
My father just came home and randomly gave me one of these, which really schocked me to be honest. The last thing I'd expect from my dad is to give me something like a camera which costs $$ for no reason. When I asked him what was up, he said he got it for free from the newspaper subscription so ah well, I'm happy :)
(Mine was black, but couldn't find a pic of one off google)
Not really too sure what I'm actually going to do with a digital camera since I almost never use one. Even if I do on a rare occasion, it would be through my iphone's camera. Perhaps to take some guitar vids in the future? We'll see :)
